Un dîner pour tous
La Source d’Entraide funds an emergency meal and snack program in Saint-Lazare schools, ensuring that children from families experiencing financial hardship have access to a meal when they need one.
Since 2023, la Source d’Entraide has offered all schools in Saint-Lazare the opportunity to participate in the **Un dîner pour tous** program, which aims to address the food needs of students experiencing food insecurity.
Each participating school receives an annual contribution of $1,000 in IGA gift cards, allowing them to provide snacks and meals to students who do not have a lunch. The Saint-Lazare day camp also receives a $500 contribution to support children who need assistance during the summer.
Several schools choose to use this support to establish a breakfast program or a snack and meal cupboard, allowing them to respond quickly when students are in need.
Thanks to this support, around 20 children per school can access food each day and avoid going through their day on an empty stomach.
