Our Expansion Project

A Larger Space for a Growing Community

For several years, la Source d’Entraide has seen the needs of our community grow. To better meet those needs, we have embarked on an important expansion and modernization project for our facilities.

The project will first allow us to expand and modernize our food assistance facilities. A new walk-in cooler, along with larger refrigeration and freezer spaces, will help us better preserve food and prepare more complete and diverse food baskets.

A Better-Adapted Parking Area

We know that parking can be a challenge, particularly during busier periods. The expansion project therefore also includes the development of a larger parking area, with approximately 20 additional spaces. This improvement will make it easier for community members, volunteers, partners and visitors to access our facilities.

A Place to Come Together

The project also includes the creation of a community room that can accommodate up to 60 people. This versatile space will be designed to meet the needs of our community.

It will provide a space for workshops, activities for different age groups, meetings, presentations, community events, and initiatives that encourage connection and sharing.

The room will also accommodate activities such as Repair Cafés, gatherings for seniors, and various projects developed with our partners. In time, it may also be made available to community organizations and groups in the region.

Better-Adapted Spaces

The expansion will also allow us to move our sewing workshop to the ground floor. Our volunteers will be able to work in a space that is better suited to their activities.

New storage areas and improvements to our facilities will also make our operations more efficient and functional.

A Project for the Whole Community

More than just an expansion of our building, this is a project designed to better serve our community. These new spaces will allow us to expand our services, develop new initiatives, and create a welcoming gathering place where the spirit of mutual aid can continue to thrive.

A Community Effort

Making this project a reality will take the support of an entire community. Partners, businesses, foundations, donors, volunteers and citizens can all play a role in bringing this vision to life.
