The Sewing Workshop brings together around ten volunteers who give new life to reclaimed fabrics by creating original, useful and one-of-a-kind pieces.
The Sewing Workshop brings together around ten passionate volunteers who give new life to donated fabrics and materials by creating original, useful and one-of-a-kind items.
Our volunteers design and create their projects using clothing, accessories and other textiles donated to la Source d’Entraide. This initiative helps make use of materials that could not be resold as-is in our thrift store, giving them a new purpose instead of sending them to be discarded.
The Sewing Workshop plays a concrete role in reducing waste and the amount of material that ends up in landfills, while putting the creativity and skills of our volunteers to good use.
Throughout the year, they create a wide variety of items, including craft aprons for children, shoe bags, hats and various zero-waste products. During the holiday season, you can also find cushions made from recycled fur, suede mittens, jewelry and Christmas decorations.
